About the Program

After a fantastic program in 2010, where more than 7,600 schools participated, Coles is continuing its commitment to encouraging active, healthy lifestyles for Australian kids. Once again we’ve teamed up with our ambassador Cathy Freeman for Coles Sports for Schools 2011 program, providing quality fresh food for our Aussie families and sporting equipment for our Aussie schools.

This year there’s an even bigger range of sports gear and more opportunities for schools to collect vouchers. The Coles Sports for Schools 2011 program offers:

• A BIGGER variety of sports gear - more than 850 products - including favourite sporting brand names e.g. Sherrin, Steeden, Speedo and Adidas
• More opportunities to collect vouchers, bonus offers and promotions in store
• More online resources to encourage students, families and communities to become involved
  • A website that’s easier to use with new online tools to:
  • Manage your weekly voucher  tally
  • An online shopping cart for schools to browse and build their sports gear wishlist from
  • An online thermometer to help schools monitor progress towards achieving their sports gear targets
  • Sports gear delivered in a single package to your school (*personalised apparel will have slightly longer delivery timeframes and will therefore be delivered separately)

2010 Sports for Schools program

What an amazing event!

7,665 primary and secondary schools participated last year and Coles gave away over $7 million worth of sports gear including: 

• 532 parachutes
• 1,347 cannon catchers!
• 2,760 rubber chickens!
• 3,248 vortex howlers
• 3,860 waffle bats!
• over 4km of skipping rope
• in excess of 21,000 bouncy balls!
• and enough basketball rings to simultaneously play 80 games across all states of Australia!
